Our goals: From a business point of view, we are committed to topics such as compliance, supplier code of conduct, women's quota, equality and employee development. Without exception, we want to provide our products with at least one environmental label. We source raw materials from demonstrably responsible sources.
At Sto, we communicate about all our sustainability activities transparently and in a way that is tailored to our target groups. We identify the requirements of our stakeholders and align these with our goals, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
We comply to health and environmental requirements and provide evidence of this compliance. We provide product information digitally and are also happy to provide individual information so that no questions go unanswered.
Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) have been important topics for Sto ever since the company was founded. They are anchored in our Guiding Principles and are encapsulated in our corporate mission “Building with conscience.”. We comply with our CSR reporting obligations and report annually on our activities. In doing so, we are guided by the standards of the ten principles of the UN Global Compact and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
Sto is committed to obeying the law. We are unequivocally against corruption, we are committed to sustainability along the entire supply chain, and we promote these principles through codes of conduct, training, and other compliance measures. We are fundamentally committed to reinforcing human rights and preventing their violation. At Sto, we too bear responsibility for upholding human rights in accordance with the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, LkSG).
We define our sustainability goals and measures for the entire Sto Group. To this end, we collect data and key figures as indicators and practice a continuous improvement process. We also use this data as a basis for regular reporting.
At Sto, the Sustainability Department actively reports to the Executive Board and engages in dialogue with stakeholders on sustainability and sustainable building – across the Group and around the world.
